Testing should be performed on any 240V or 110V electrical appliance that is connected to the mains electricity using a plug.

Testing should be carried out on equipment where appliances are:

• used by employees
• used by the public
• supplied or hired

Testing should be carried out on all electrical equipment including electrical appliances that are owned by employees and used on the premises.
